I usually couldn't care less about award shows that aren't strictly for country music, but of course, country artists do get some love in the Grammy's. So here's the categories I (and hopefully you) care about:
I went to bed last night with the assumption that Albert Pujols would be a St. Louis Cardinal by the end of the day today. I woke up to several text messages from "friends" telling me that Pujols had agreed to a deal with the Angels.... Some friends they are, giving me this news. Every indication that I had heard up to this point was that he would remain a St. Louis Cardinal for the rest of his career, which made this even more surprising and hurtful.

Let me begin by saying that I think New Years resolutions are highly overrated. I mean, why can't people decide to (insert resolution here) in the middle of the year? I guess it's because a lot of us think of our resolutions around October. And, of course, we as a society like to procrastinate on everything, so January 1 just seems like a good time to start these resolutions.
When I found out that I was going to get the opportunity to visit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, I was completely excited. I had heard so much about what a great place it was and couldn't wait to check it out in person.
Kameron Bundy from Nixa, my alma mater, might have had the play of the year yesterday at the Blue & Gold Basketball Tournament. This is one of the many reasons I love this tournament and high school sports in general. Enjoy.
