  • The Final Push!!!

OK, so this is it... The final week before the St. Jude Half-Marathon. I leave for Nashville on Friday and run (try to at least) 13.1 miles on Saturday. I've been running a little and I THINK I'll be able to make it. Fingers crossed.

  • St. Jude Half-Marathon... One Week Away!!!

OK, technically it's a week and a half away, but still... I have to run 13.1 miles in less than 2 weeks. It's a little scary. I've run that far once in my life and it was at last year's race. Sure, I've been training (some), but I'm not sure it has been enough. Although, I did something similar last year and ended up being able to run the whole thing. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  • ACM Award Predictions

Sunday is the big day. The ACM Awards are on CBS. I'm excited. I get excited about these and the CMAs. As always, I need to make my predictions on who I think will win. Again, this isn't necessarily who I think SHOULD win, it's who I think will win. My winner predictions are in bold:

  • "How I Met Your Mother" Finale: My Thoughts

Where do I start? I mean, I've seen every episode of "How I Met Your Mother" and I've enjoyed most (besides that awful 'slap bet' episode earlier this season). Anyway, I knew that it was about time for the show to end, because what else could they do? Honestly, I had a feeling I'd be a little disappointed with the finale last night, but I had no idea how bad it would be...

  • Luke Bryan Crashes Parties!!! (video)

I had you at 'Luke Bryan', didn't I? Well, he's getting ready to co-host the ACMs a week from Sunday. To go along with that, he's been doing some hilarious promotional videos. Most of them include his co-host, Blake Shelton. These videos don't, but I bet you'll still laugh...

  • My New Team for March Madness...

I'm a big North Carolina Tarheels fan. I have been since 2nd grade, so when they lost a heart-breaking game on Sunday, I was just that: Heart broken. It was a tough game to swallow and after it ended, I all of the sudden didn't have anyone to root for.

  • What to Expect on Thursday Night...

What to Expect on Thursday Night...

It's finally that time... The KTTS St. Jude Jam is Thursday night. More pumped, I could not be. There's such a solid lineup, no wonder the tickets sold out so quickly.

  • My High School Theater Days (Video)

I talked about it the other day and here it is. This is a video of me and one of my good buddies singing a song from 'Kiss Me Kate' in high school. I don't sing. I'm not good, but I can 'character sing' a little bit... I can't stress 'little bit' enough. My friend in the video is actually a really good singer and I just try to keep up.

  • Our First Taste of 'Bluke' in 2014

Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are back!!! They're co-hosting the ACM Awards again this April. They did a pretty good job last year and I know I'm looking forward to this year. They've already started promoting it. Here's our first taste of what to expect from 'Bluke':

  • Blake Shelton, the Dancer

Season 6 of 'The Voice' kicks off on Monday and of course, Blake Shelton will be a coach again. This just in: He's funny. You probably knew that already, but did you know he's also a dancer? Well, kinda... Check out the video:

  • St. Jude Country Music Half-Marathon 2014

First of all, thank you for your continuing support of KTTS' efforts to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It seems like we get so much love on this stuff, regardless of the event.

  • Reasons Why I'm Single

Today is Valentine's Day. Some call it "Single Awareness Day"... If you call it that, you're probably single. No worries, I am too. It's easy to get down in the dumps about being single on a day like this, so I thought I would share reasons why I'm single with you and maybe you can relate:

  • New Music from 2 Big Artists

One of my favorite parts about working in radio is hearing new music. I love listening to a new song and thinking "So, this is what we'll be playing for awhile...". Obviously, I'm hoping for songs I enjoy. Well, 2 of my favorite artists have either released or are getting ready to release a new song to radio.

  • 'Full House' is Back... Kinda...

Raise your hand if you loved the show 'Full House' (everyone raises their hand). It was great. I mean, the ultimate cheese-fest, with great life lessons. Danny, Joey, Jesse, DJ, Stephanie, Michelle, etc. always brought laughs to my family's home. There's been so many rumors about a reunion show. I don't know if that will ever happen, but Danny, Joey & Jesse have been in a couple commercials together recently and that got me excited. Now, there's this... A video with those 3, back in the Tanner home with Jimmy Fallon. Check it out:

  • ACM Award Nominations

Today was the big day. The announcement of the ACM Award nominations. The ACMs are usually pretty entertaining and well-done, so I'm looking forward to them on April 6th. The biggest surprise for me is that Lee Brice is up for 'Male Vocalist of the Year'. I understand it and completely support it, though. Check out the list of nominees below, but first... Listen to why Lee Brice is up for such an award as 'Male Vocalist'. This song/his voice in this song is unbelievable.

  • My 'Bachelorette' Audition Tape

I've been talking about it for awhile and it's finally done! Watch my audition tape for 'The Bachelorette' above (make sure you watch until the end). Side note: I'm not actually auditioning. I'd be horrible on that show. Let me know if you'd cast me anyway!

  • My Interview With Charlie Worsham

Charlie Worsham put on a great show on Friday night at Midnight Rodeo. Not only is he a great performer, he's a super nice guy. I got a chance to interview him on Friday morning. In case you missed it, take a listen (Listen to 'Part 2' first... Confusing, I know):

  • Some Friday Night Plans...

This Friday night is the big night. Another 'KTTS Catch a Rising Star' concert... This time with Charlie Worsham.

  • How Technology Could Have Ruined Garth Brooks

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch Garth Brooks' "Blame It All On My Roots" TV special yesterday and wow. Dude's still got it. I've been lucky enough to see him twice in concert and am still more blown away every time I see him do his thing. He's the best.

  • KTTS 2013 Year-End Countdown

Well, another year in the books. Another year of great country music, complete. So, on Tuesday, I had the privelage to count down the biggest songs on KTTS in 2013. Just in case you missed it, here's that list:
