  • My CMA Award Show Predictions

I'll give you the Grammy's, but other than that, I don't think there's a better award that a country artist can win besides a CMA Award. It's special, because it's voted on by members of the Country Music Association, which is a bunch of radio people and music people. So, most of them know what they're talking about. A majority of the time, the artist who most deserves the award, gets it. Which isn't always the case on fan voted award shows.

  • No Shave November For St. Jude - Round 2

So, last year, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital started doing No Shave November to help raise money for their great cause. I do No Shave November every year anyway, so when I found out that I could raise money for St. Jude in the process, I was so down.

  • A Taste Of Nashville In Springfield

I've been to Nashville twice in my life. There are several things I love about it. All of them are because of my love for country music, so when I hear about something happening in Springfield, that usually happens in Nashville, it makes me happy.

  • Springfield Scores Another Big Concert!!!

All of the sudden, Springfield is dominating the country concert scene. I remember when I was a kid, there was rarely a big show like we get every couple of months now. I guess artists are seeing how many great country fans their are in Southwest Missouri.

  • Cardinals' Baseball- Dreadful to Watch on TV

I love everything there is to love about St. Louis Cardinals' baseball. I love going to games. I love talking about the team. I love watching them on TV. In the NLCS, one of these things is being questioned.

  • My Kinda Pick Up Lines

I've been after Taylor Swift's heart for a while now. I've finally found a plan to win it. The video below gives me a great idea to do so. My goal is to be less awkward than this dude with the plan, but let's be real... I'm pretty awkward. So, if I can get the lines out, I'll be happy.

  • Tough Mudder - Complete... Barely

Well, it's over. Finally. I did something this weekend that I even questioned that I could do. I completed my Tough Mudder race. Which, again, is an 11 mile race with 25 obstacles in it.

  • American Country Award Nominations

Quickly following the announcement of the American Music Award nominees, the nominees for the American COUNTRY Awards were announced. This is more up my ally, since I actually care about all of these categories. These awards will air December 10th on Fox. Check out the nominees below.

  • American Music Award Nominations

The nominations for the American Music Awards were announced yesterday. As it turns out, I don't care about more than half of them. The only ones I do care about are the country music categories. Below is a list of those categories & nominees. The AMAs will be on Sunday, November 18th on ABC. It's fan voted and you can vote here!

  • This Week > Me

The week is finally here. The week that I hope to get through healthy. The week that I've been training for for 5 months (but mainly the last couple of weeks). I'll seriously be lucky if I don't get hurt on Saturday.

  • Mac Powell- A Must See Show Tonight!!!

Who is Mac Powell? To be honest, when I first heard that he was coming to town as part of our KTTS Catch a Rising Star Concert Series, I wasn't sure. But, I quickly figured it out and I'm here to help you do the same.

  • New Album, New Disappointment

I can't believe I'm going to write what I'm about to write. This is not like me at all. I can only ask that you not judge me for it. With that being said, here goes....

  • Carrie Underwood Makes A Kid's Life!!!

A first kiss is something special, or so I've heard, I'm still waiting on mine. I have a good feeling about 2013, though. Fingers crossed. Anyway, it's special, and it's extra special if it's from someone as attractive and famous as Carrie Underwood. This 12 year old kid in the video below got to experience just that. Lucky dog. He handled it like a pro, too. My favorite line is "lip-to-lip." Classic.

  • 'The Office' Season 9- A Disappointment So Far

I remember the first time I ever watched the TV show "The Office." It was during my one semester at college. I was sitting in my dorm, avoiding homework, like usual, and I happened to catch a rerun on TBS. I was hooked. So, I started watching the DVDs, beginning with the first season and eventually caught up, so I could watch new episodes as they originally aired.

  • George Strait To Retire???

George Strait is a legend in country music. I don't think I'll get any argument from anyone with that statement. So, when I got a text message from a buddy of mine this morning saying "is George Strait retiring?" I had a slight freak out moment. My buddy texted me, because he heard that George Strait had called a press conference in Nashville today.

  • NFL- Complete Chaos

As it turns out, there was a slightly bad call in last night's Monday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers & the Seattle Seahawks. You might have heard about this, assuming you have heard anyone speak today.

  • Prank On Jay Cross

I'm always up for a good prank, especially if one falls in my lap. My co-workers & I really didn't have to work very hard to get Jay Cross good today. Jay left his phone in one of our studios & went on to work in a different part of the building. My co-worker, Katie, saw the phone & did what every decent co-worker would do. She took it. She brought it up to her office. I was already in there along with our promotions manager, Amanda.

  • Ecards- My New Obsession

Maybe I'm a little late on this whole Ecard fad, but I'm on-board now. I've seen them on Facebook & Twitter for a while now, but now I'm starting to do my own as well. I've seen some pretty funny ones, but I just see that as a challenge & I'm determined to make some that are even funnier. I'm just getting started, but these are what I've come up with so far:

  • Tim McGraw's Big Release... For Real This Time

Last week, Tim McGraw released a sneak preview of his new video for "Truck Yeah" in order to get people excited about the full video. Well played, Tim. It worked. Now, he has released the full video... And it includes a cameo from Tim's "Country Strong" co-star, Garrett Hedlund, who I may have a slight man crush on. Anyway, just watch the video and forget I said that. Please.

  • Bullying Stinks- Don't Do It

I know this is out of the ordinary, but please allow me to post about something serious real quick: If you are friends with me on Facebook, you might have already seen me post something about this, but I thought I'd go more in depth with it. Bullying stinks. Period. There was a contestant on the season premiere of "The X Factor" who was bullied while she was in school. Her story really got to me. It's amazing that a show like that can send such a strong message, but it did.
