  • St. Jude Country Music Half-Marathon 2014

First of all, thank you for your continuing support of KTTS' efforts to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It seems like we get so much love on this stuff, regardless of the event.

  • Reasons Why I'm Single

Today is Valentine's Day. Some call it "Single Awareness Day"... If you call it that, you're probably single. No worries, I am too. It's easy to get down in the dumps about being single on a day like this, so I thought I would share reasons why I'm single with you and maybe you can relate:

  • New Music from 2 Big Artists

One of my favorite parts about working in radio is hearing new music. I love listening to a new song and thinking "So, this is what we'll be playing for awhile...". Obviously, I'm hoping for songs I enjoy. Well, 2 of my favorite artists have either released or are getting ready to release a new song to radio.

  • 'Full House' is Back... Kinda...

Raise your hand if you loved the show 'Full House' (everyone raises their hand). It was great. I mean, the ultimate cheese-fest, with great life lessons. Danny, Joey, Jesse, DJ, Stephanie, Michelle, etc. always brought laughs to my family's home. There's been so many rumors about a reunion show. I don't know if that will ever happen, but Danny, Joey & Jesse have been in a couple commercials together recently and that got me excited. Now, there's this... A video with those 3, back in the Tanner home with Jimmy Fallon. Check it out:

  • ACM Award Nominations

Today was the big day. The announcement of the ACM Award nominations. The ACMs are usually pretty entertaining and well-done, so I'm looking forward to them on April 6th. The biggest surprise for me is that Lee Brice is up for 'Male Vocalist of the Year'. I understand it and completely support it, though. Check out the list of nominees below, but first... Listen to why Lee Brice is up for such an award as 'Male Vocalist'. This song/his voice in this song is unbelievable.

  • My 'Bachelorette' Audition Tape

I've been talking about it for awhile and it's finally done! Watch my audition tape for 'The Bachelorette' above (make sure you watch until the end). Side note: I'm not actually auditioning. I'd be horrible on that show. Let me know if you'd cast me anyway!

  • My Interview With Charlie Worsham

Charlie Worsham put on a great show on Friday night at Midnight Rodeo. Not only is he a great performer, he's a super nice guy. I got a chance to interview him on Friday morning. In case you missed it, take a listen (Listen to 'Part 2' first... Confusing, I know):

  • Some Friday Night Plans...

This Friday night is the big night. Another 'KTTS Catch a Rising Star' concert... This time with Charlie Worsham.

  • How Technology Could Have Ruined Garth Brooks

I finally got a chance to sit down and watch Garth Brooks' "Blame It All On My Roots" TV special yesterday and wow. Dude's still got it. I've been lucky enough to see him twice in concert and am still more blown away every time I see him do his thing. He's the best.

  • KTTS 2013 Year-End Countdown

Well, another year in the books. Another year of great country music, complete. So, on Tuesday, I had the privelage to count down the biggest songs on KTTS in 2013. Just in case you missed it, here's that list:

  • My Top Country Songs of 2013

On Tuesday, starting at 2pm, I'll be counting down the top 40 songs of 2013 during the KTTS End of Year Countdown. So, I wanted to go over my top songs of the year now.

  • My Top 5 Country Albums of 2013

I try to make lists as much as possible, because... Well, I like them. Lists are simple and I'm a simple guy, so it just makes sense.

  • 11 Random Facts About Me

I've seen this game be played on Facebook, so I figured I'd jump in on it. Here are 11 random facts about me. Side note: I know I'm lame.

  • My Public Service to Music Lovers

No, I'm not going to sing for you, but there is a good chance I'm about to do you a favor...

  • New Music From Jake Owen!!!

Jake Owen is releasing a new album in December. He's preparing for it by releasing some songs in the weeks prior to the release. You can hear one of these songs in the video below. It's definitely different. What do you think?

  • Adam Wainwright Sings 'Achy Breaky Heart'

Adam Wainwright Sings 'Achy Breaky Heart'

I miss baseball season as much as anyone. It seems like it ended 2 years ago and won't be back for 10 years. Those numbers aren't accurate. I make it through the days looking at every Cardinals' trade rumor ever... Oh, and by watching Adam Wainwright sing Billy Ray Cyrus' songs. I don't know the whole back story of why this happened, but I'm not asking questions, I'm just enjoying. You should too.

  • CMA Award Predictions

    CMA Award Predictions

Tonight is the night! The CMA Awards are live from Nashville! I always get excited about the CMAs and this year, you can hear them live on KTTS. It's always fun to make predictions about who will win, so here goes nothing...

  • No Shave November for St. Jude!!!

No Shave November for St. Jude!!!

It's that time of year again... The time where I try to grow a beard and fail miserably, but I do it for the kids at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, so it's not so bad.

  • 2013 American Country Award Nominees

    2013 American Country Award Nominees

I always say that the American Country Awards are the 'off-brand' of country music award shows. They're still fun, they're just not as big of a deal as the ACMs or the CMAs. Anyway, they announced the 2013 American Country Award nominees this week. Here they are:

  • Hunter Hayes Mash-up (Video)

    Hunter Hayes Mash-up (Video)

Hunter Hayes is one of those artists I really try not to like. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against him... He just seems like an artist that girls should like. I'm not a girl. I know that's ridiculous, but regardless of who 'should' like him, I do. Dude has as much or more talent than anyone in the game right now. He can sing and plays a ton of instruments like it's his job--it kinda is, I guess. Anyway, here's a pretty cool video from Hunter, Jason Mraz and more:
