See Ya Later, Old Friend

They say you never know what you have, until it's gone. That couldn't be more true for what I'm going through this week. It's been 4 days, but has seemed like a month...

Of course, I'm talking about giving up sweet tea. I'm running the St. Jude Country Music Half Marathon April 27th and haven't been training like I should, so I have decided to not drink sweet tea until after the race (like that will help me run 13.1 miles any better).

It's hard for me to explain how tough it's been. Before, I'd have an average of about 2 sweet teas a day and now, nothing. I'm not dealing well with the loss of caffeine. I didn't realize how much I depended on it, until I didn't have it. You see, I don't drink soda or coffee, so sweet tea is really my only source of caffeine. Out of the 4 days I've stopped drinking sweet tea, I've had to take a nap twice, after getting plenty of sleep the night before.

I love sweet tea. It's seriously one of my favorite things in this world. If I had to pick between chocolate and sweet tea, I'd pick sweet tea without question... And I love chocolate. So, this is just for a short time. After the race, you better believe I'll have a sweet tea in both hands. Plus, at that time, it'll be sweet tea from Nashville, so it'll be even better. I can't wait. Until then, your prayers are appreciated... I'm being serious. It's not easy, you guys. I'm flat struggling.
