OK, you might have been expecting a review of 2012, but that's been done before. I want to talk about one specific event that changed my life in 2006.
2006 was the year that I was introduced to Taylor Swift. Yeah, yeah... It's another blog about Taylor Swift. Love is a weird thing. Anyway, she released her self titled album in 2006 and it was fantastic. With tracks like 'Tim McGraw', 'Teardrops On My Guitar', 'Our Song' & 'Stay Beautiful', the album could do no wrong. Then, she followed that album with one of my favorite albums of all time, 'Fearless'. She did good.
For some reason, I've been on a real old school Taylor kick lately. I even had a text conversation consisting of only Taylor Swift lyrics (I'm on the left, in the white):
As it turns out, it's a great way to hit on a girl, but still have an excuse: "Oh, I was just using Taylor Swift lyrics."
Anyway, I've been listening to Taylor a lot and have noticed how much her music has changed over the years. What I'm trying to say here is that I fear the next 6 years, if they progress anything like the last 6 years. I've enjoyed every album she's had, but the last few, not as much as the first few. I'm just afraid that I'm going to not like one of Taylor Swift's albums at all in the future. That makes me sad.
I know it's early, but all I want for Christmas next year is for Taylor Swift to go back to her country roots. I love her and couldn't handle that breakup.
I mentioned 'Stay Beautiful' earlier. Well, in case you haven't heard it:
