My Top 5 Albums Released in 2011

  • Print

There are several albums that were released in late 2010 that were still a huge hit in 2011, but I chose not to include those. These albums are my favorites that were released in 2011. Tell me what you think!

1. Chief - Eric Church: Let's get real, Eric Church doesn't make a bad song. This album shows that. It's a little different than his albums in the past, like "Carolina," which could possibly be my favorite album of all time, but I still love it. The fact that he still writes his own music makes me a huge Eric Church fan.

2. Barefoot Blue Jean Night - Jake Owen: This album almost took the top spot for me. I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Jake Owen. There is a song called "Heaven" on here that I hope he releases as a single. It might be my favorite song right now. Again, not a bad song on this album.

3. Neon - Chris Young: I have to admit that I wasn't a huge fan of this album the first time I heard it. But, the more I listened, the more I liked. A lot of well written songs mixed with his pure country voice made it a hit for me.

4. Tailgates & Tanlines - Luke Bryan: There are a few songs on this one that are a joke, lyrically, but it still catches my ear for some reason. A couple of my favorites are "Tailgate Blues" and "You Don't Know Jack." You need to take a listen to those 2.

5. Red River Blue - Blake Shelton: Again, another album that is a different sound from an artist. I'm not as crazy about this album as I am about his albums in the best, but still like it.
