"Weather" we like it or not winter is coming. I hate the thought of snow and ice, and I know that these last few days have us thinking that maybe we will get a repeat of last years warm winter. This is a reminder of what can happen when it gets cold fast.
Have you felt down lately or maybe emotionally beat up? It happens to everyone including myself. I'm not too proud to admit it. The reality is SOME people don't want to see you be successful, and their negativity and hurtfulness can really drag you down. Here are some powerful words from Zig Ziglar. If you need it I hope this helps. It sure helped me :)
I am heading to Louisiana this week for Thanksgiving at my grandparents house. It should be a lot of fun, but I plan to sneak out and do a little antique shopping. This will sound very odd, but I am looking for an old Vampire Killing Kit. Wierd right? Here is the audio from this morning with me, Summer, Don, and Jason looking into a wierd part of my personality. Don't Judge!! :) Click here to listen
The KTTS Christmas Crusade kicked off this morning and will continue until we get all of these kiddos adopted. I can't imagine how it would feel to know that I wouldn't be able to get Kaitlyn anything for Christmas. It would shatter my heart. There a a lot of people that are struggling right here at home. The reasons vary, but the stress is universal to all that can barley afford to pay the bills and put food on the table. Please consider adopting a child that is in need this year. EVERYONE deserves something under the Christmas tress.
Do you remember some of these toys from the 90's? Maybe your kids wanted them or maybe you were a kid then and wanted some of these for yourself. Post you favorite Christmas gift from the 1990"s below.
Maybe you are a little low on cash around the holidays after spending money on presents or maybe you are needing money to buy presents. There actually are specific business and industries you may want to look into for a little holiday help.
1. The ventilation system of any building is the perfect hiding place. No one will ever think of looking for you in there, and you can travel to any other part of the building you want without difficulty. 2. You're very likely to survive any battle in any war unless you make the mistake of showing someone a picture of your sweetheart back home. 3. Should you wish to pass yourself off as a German officer, it is not necessary to speak the language. A German accent will do. 4. A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his wounds. 5. If staying in a haunted house, women must investigate any strange noises in their most diaphanous underwear, which is just what they happened to be carrying with them at the time the car broke down. 6. If a large pane of glass is visible, someone will be thrown through it before long. 7. If someone says, "I'll be right back", they won't. 8. Computer monitors never display a cursor on screen but always say: Enter Password Now. 9. It is not necessary to say hello or goodbye when beginning or ending phone conversations. And none of your friends have to knock when they come for a visit. 10. Even when driving down a perfectly straight road, it is necessary to turn the steering wheel vigorously from left to right every few moments. 11. All bombs are fitted with electronic timing devices with large red readouts so you know exactly when they're going to go off. 12. A detective can only solve a case once he has been suspended from duty. 13. If you decide to start dancing in the street everyone around you will automatically be able to mirror all the steps you come up with and hear the music in your head. 14. Police departments give their officers personality tests to make sure they are deliberately assigned a partner who is their total opposite.
So we're heading to Branson this weekend for the "Old Time Christmas" kickoff at Silver Dollar City, and I can't help but get excited. The sound of Powder Keg launching or the swoosh of the Barn Swing has got me anxious! Ever since I was a kid transplanted from Georgia to Kansas we have been a frequent visitor of SDC, and now that I live 30 min away I feel like I am heaven.
It was an honor a couple of weeks ago when a soldier serving in Afghanistan asked for an autographed picture of Summer and I. To be really frank with you, we should be the ones asking for his autograph. Andrew of Bolivar has been putting his life on the line in Afghanistan, and deserves so much more than a silly autograph. It is because of what you do everyday Andrew that keeps us safe and gives us the freedom that we have. We at KTTS are all praying for your safe return and we can't wait to meet you face to face . Thank you X 1,000,000,000. Andrew-YOU ARE THE MAN!
