It's true I have been very lucky to be able to see the amount of country concerts I've seen. I live for live country music! Alabama is a band that I have wanted to see for many a-year and I have never had that opportunity. I was so excited this morning when I saw that they are going on a 40th anniversary tour making stops along the way in Alabama, Canada, Connecticut, Georgia, Miami, New York and more. Additional dates are expected to be announced soon. Missouri isn't on the list...yet. My fingers are crossed.
I think that what draws me to Alabama isn't just their distinctive sound or their "southern" lyrics, but also the memories I have as a kid. My Dad loved Alabama and I vividly remember working in the garage with him and Alabama playing loud and clear in the background. This is a band I must see live. I'll keep you updated as to exact dates as they become avaible. I have a feeling I'll be taking a road trip. Want to go?!?
