It's nice to think that I am capable of taking care of a 1,000 pound animal, but to be completely honest with you I have never owned a horse out-right. I have spent a lot of time around them, but until a month ago I have never actually owned one. Now that I do I can certainly feel the pressure. Meet Hillbilly Deluxe...he is big, he is sweet, and he is hungry...ALWAYS HUNGRY. He spends the day grazing and looking awesome in our pasture while I stress about how much he eats and how expensive it is to feed him. I've discovered that he likes carrots and apples which are cheap enough, but he also likes and needs hay. I'm sure you have heard, but "good" hay is hard to find and very expensive because of the drought that has stricken the Ozarks. I'm stressed lol. If you are ever in my neck of the woods come by and see Hillbilly. Just make sure you come packin some hay :)
