The Springfield Greene County Health Department building was evacuated for nearly an hour this morning and other nearby buildings, including the police department, 911 center, and the Busch municipal building were placed on lockdown. The Springfield metro area spent a good part of Thursday afternoon under a tornado warning for areas along and east of Highway 65. A roof caved in at the Furniture Mart store in northeast Springfield and other damage reports are rolling in. This is team coverage in KTTS Need to Know News at 6pm.
